- Objectives
- To acquire necessary expressions and vocabularies, and to improve conversation skills in various situations of everyday life. Students are expected to practice conversation skills actively both inside and outside the classroom.
- Prerequisite
- Completion of Beginning 4 course, Intensive Beginning Ⅱ course, or equivalent to JLPT N4 level or CEFR A2.2 level.

- Evaluation
- Course will be completed if all the following requirements have been met:
1) Have attended more than 70% of classes; 2) Have completed the final project. - Letter grades for the entire course will be assigned as follows:
A:100-80% B:79-65% C:64-50% F:49-0% - Makeup exams for midterm and final exams can be scheduled ONLY within one week after the regular exams. Makeup exams will only be worth 80% of the possible score that can be attained through regular exams.
- Course will be completed if all the following requirements have been met:

- Credits: 2 (courses may also be taken as noncredit courses)
- A course completion certificate will be given upon request to students who receive a letter grade of C or higher.
- Course schedules are based on the academic calendar of the School of Engineering.
- Missing more than 30 minutes of each class is considered an absence. Arriving to class late or leaving class early 3 times will be regarded as one absence.
- The attendance of the first week will not be counted since it is an orientation week.
- Class contents and classrooms are subject to change.
