AAll of these three courses are suitable for people studying Japanese for the first time, but the content and pace of the lessons are different. In general, the pace becomes faster from Introductory to Beginner 1 and then to Intensive I. Introductory starts from the second half of each semester and learns the minimum necessary beginner grammar in three classes (afternoons) per week. Beginner 1 learns the first half of the textbook “Daichi 1” in three classes per week, and after completion you can move to Beginner 2. Intensive I learns “Daichi 1” to the end in five classes per week, and after completion you can move to Intensive II (or Beginner 3). If you want to learn slowly, you can choose Introductory, and if you want to learn a little faster, you can choose Beginner 1 or Intensive I, depending on your needs. If you are unsure which course to choose, please contact JLCSE, as our teachers will be happy to assist you.
