JLCSE held Multicultural Camp for International and Japanese students

JLCSE held a multicultural camp for international and Japanese students from March 13th to 14th at Naito Seminar House located near Yamanaka Lake and Mt.Fuji in Yamanashi prefecture. 16 international students and 11 Japanese students participated in the camp. On the first day, we had “the communication game” and “the World Cafe”. The former is an activity to help participants to get to know each other and the latter is a method for hosting large group dialogue in a relaxed atmosphere. The participants engaged in discussion within the theme of “making friends with students from a different culture”.  After the World Cafe, the participants enjoyed chatting, playing cards, and some of them went out on the lake to look up at the dazzling night sky.

On the second day, the staff introduced our exchange activities and courses of multicultural studies conducted by JLCSE. After that, we enjoyed walking around beautiful Yamanaka Lake.

Some of impressions from participants are as follows,

“I made new friends.” “We had a lot of fun chatting!” “It was a very good opportunity to get to know so many students from different cultures.”
